Welcome

Welcome to the website for Cassie Loves Linsey, a(n) (up and coming) podcast by Cassie Andrews and Linsey Teppner.

For the record, Linsey also loves Cassie, but that didn’t fit in the title.

Truth be told, we don’t know what we’re doing, so things will come together slowly as we feel our way through the process of setting up this site, social media, an actual podcast, what to talk about and whatever else we will need to do but haven’t yet thought about.

We decided to create this podcast for a handful of reasons:

  1. We have a lot of fun together and our friends and family have always encouraged us to share that with the world, as we’ve shared it with them.
  2. We both have a lot to say.  Linsey has long-kept a blog over at uncouthheathen.com, and Cassie once had a blog years ago.  We maintain pretty active Facebook feeds because we’re both nerds for news, inherently useless trivia and oversharing. Cassie is a long-time activist and licensed mental health counselor, so she’s able to speak on a lot of social justice topics and give qualified mental health advice.  Linsey has been to roughly three marches and/or rallies in her life (with Cassie) and has been through a lot of therapy over the years (without Cassie) and likes to talk just to make herself feel better, according to her ex-wife. She has no qualifications whatsoever, but that doesn’t stop her.
  3. We always want to work hard to make our home a safe space for our friends and family to gather, communicate, be heard, share ideas and have a good time without feeling afraid for being who they are.  We wanted to create a podcast that brings that same idea to a larger community.
  4. We want to connect and engage in the world, outside of our safe little corner here in the beautiful PNW.  Cassie is an extrovert, so she loves to make friends and be social.  Linsey is an introvert and likes to leave our cozy house as little as possible unless it involves puppies, snacks or travel.  This seemed like a fun compromise.
  5. We’re curious.  How will this go?  Can we make it work?  Will it be a spectacular failure?  We have no idea.

Cassie insisted we need a tagline.  We try hard to live by some meaningful values, the most important of which is this: DON’T BE A JERK.  Hello tagline, my old friend.

Welcome to our website and (soon) our podcast.  Please feel free to communicate with us, share us with your friends and family and come back to see how we grow!
