Progress

We have started preparing for the production of our podcast. First, we purchased a couple Blue brand microphones. Additionally, we created Instagram and Facebook accounts to connect with our already growing community. We’d love it if you shared your ideas and questions with us in any of these mediums.

Last weekend we ran our first test while drunk and sitting in our Vancouver BC hotel room, watching My Cousin Vinny. We recorded six and a half minutes of us talking about Cassie’s childhood cats. Don’t worry, we’ll keep working on our content. In no way will either of us allow this podcast to be about stereotyping us as crazy cat ladies. We don’t even own a cat, for the record. If anything, Linsey is a crazy dog lady and Cassie is indifferent to animals, which is absurd but real.

We have also been doing our due-diligence in terms of research – listening to other podcasts, old radio shows, exploring topic ideas, working out our show formatting and so on. There really is so much to consider before you ever actually get to the recording process. We want to do this right, so we’re in no real rush to start cranking out shows that we aren’t proud of or happy with. Hopefully, we’ll be in a space to record and release an introductory mini-episode in the next few weeks.

Linsey’s goal this week is to search out some music options and Cassie is working hard on reconnaissance and learning from others who have come before us. We are so excited about this project and to create something to share with you. We hope you’ll stick with us as we amble along.
